Summary: The birth of Rectaflex, "the Magic Reflex", was inextricably linked to the will, to the passion, to the knowledge, to the work of a group of men among whom the figure of Telemaco Corsi stood out, who first had the idea to realize it; but not always a brilliant and innovative idea manages to have the success it seems to deserve. The History of Rectaflex was born and developed in Rome. Corsi was a camera enthusiast, his dream was to create a "perfect camera".In 1946 Corsi met a traveling photographer, such Assenza, who used a device that triggered the imagination of the lawyer-inventor; Assenza had modified a Kinoflex, a mysterious 24x36 SLR camera, with reflex viewfinder to the cockpit adding an external system of mirrors so you can frame and "focus" at eye level. It was the idea that Corsi had always pursued, bought the Assenza device, he started working with his group of friends and technicians to transform that embryo into a real photographic camera. |
